Rechargeable hearing aids are available in behind the ear or receiver in the ear models, and as they user smaller lithium batteries, they are small and discreet, whilst offering great performance that lasts.

Rechargeable hearing aids provide the same exceptional hearing performance you’d expect from a digital hearing aid – with added convenience! They’re perfect if you find replacing a battery fiddly. Simply pop them into the recharger case at night and they’ll be fully charged and ready to go when you wake up in the morning.
Easy to use
Rechargeable hearing aids are particularly beneficial if you have decreased dexterity, arthritis, Parkinson’s disease or if you have trouble seeing.
How long a single charge lasts depends on the degree of your hearing loss and your usage. Rechargeable hearing aids only take about 3 hours to fully recharge and will keep going for around 24 hours.
And if you’re in a hurry and need to charge on the go, there are a number of portable rechargers to choose from. Your battery can be 25% charged in just 30 minutes or 50% charged in just an hour.
Comparing with disposables
By comparison, disposable battery hearing aids generally offer between 5 days and 2 weeks of usage, again depending on your hearing loss, your usage and the battery size.
Generally speaking, the worse your hearing, the shorter the battery life you can expect, as you require more amplification. If you regularly Bluetooth stream, this affects your battery life too.
It’s always advisable to turn off your hearing aid’s overnight when you’re not wearing them to preserve battery life.
